Southern Oregon Wine

American Viticultural Area (AVA) of Southern Oregon is located in southern Oregon in the United States.

Southern Oregon was created so that the two main growing regions in the southern part of the state could jointly market. As a result of the union of Umpqua Valley and Rogue Valley, this area is privileged land suitable for growing grapes.

Umpqua Valley in the main grape is the Pinot Noir grown, and the rest is for the cultivation of several French-American hybrids. Rogue Valley in fewer than 2 dozen wineries and there are only 1.100 hectares for cultivation.

Among the grapes grown in this AVA was founded in 2004 we have Albariño, Bastardo, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Dolcetto, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah.
